Boston Globe Announces 2006 Travel Show: Bringing the World to Boston

The Boston Globe today announced a new venture, The Boston Globe Travel Show: Bringing the World To Boston. Slated for the weekend of March 24-26, 2006 at the Seaport World Trade Center Exhibition Hall, it will be the first expo of its kind in Boston. The event will showcase destinations from around the world, and will include an extensive program of travel exhibits and cultural activities.

We are pleased to bring a travel show of this magnitude to Boston, where new information and travel ideas will be available, to New Englanders. We are confident that the Travel Show will provide a wonderful experience for all who attend."
Over 300 exhibitors will represent destinations and tourism boards from Asia, the South Pacific, South and Central America, Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and North America including a special Pavilion spotlighting New England. Thematic pavilions also will showcase Luxury, Spa and Golf Travel, Cruises, Family Vacations and Active/Adventure trips. Travelers will have the opportunity to book trips right on the show floor, and many exhibitors will offer special "show-only" priced trips.
The Boston Globe Travel Show will include many special features including performances on the World Cultural Stage, scuba diving and kayak-rolling lessons in the Pool, expert advice in the Golf Travel Range, Luxury Spa Treatments and the Travel Bookstore featuring the best travel guides in the world.
In addition, the co-located Boston Globe Travel Industry Conference will feature a major trade Conference spotlighting the issues, concerns and growth opportunities for New England's travel community of travel agents and destinations. The Conference is co-sponsored by the Caribbean Tourism Organization, Cruise Line International Association, DMAI (previously IACVB), New England Inns & Resorts Association, Pacific Asia Travel Association and The Travel Institute.
