MasterCard to Give Winning Tailgaters a ''Priceless Game Day Experience'' This Football Season; Fans Get Chance to Win Ultimate Tailgating Experience with Football Legend
MasterCard's latest card usage promotion targets consumers in the categories that truly "fuel the fans," like gas stations, casual dining restaurants and grocery stores. The promotion runs September 1 - October 31, 2005 and coincides with National Tailgating Month, which recognizes the more than 20 million loyal football fans who show their support for their favorite team year after year, preparing days in advance for their teams' weekly gridiron battles.

According to a survey conducted on tailgating.com, the preeminent web site dedicated to the "sport" of tailgating, the typical tailgater is between the ages of 25-34, spends more than $500 a year on tailgating supplies and attends or hosts 6-10 tailgating events each season.
In support of the "Priceless Game Day Experience" promotion, MasterCard will rollout an integrated marketing campaign primarily focused on radio advertisements as well as localized events at partner NFL stadiums across the country. In addition, point-of-sale pieces will be on display at participating merchant partner locations.
To be entered, consumers must use their MasterCard during the promotional period at select merchant partner locations in the following markets or nationwide at gas stations, convenience stores, and casual dining restaurants:
