ROGERS, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 2005--RFID Global Solution, Inc. and Convergent Systems Limited have launched the opening of their joint offices in Hong Kong, in conjunction with their partnership to provide RFID technology services to the Asia Pacific Region. Both companies specialize in supply chain, asset-tracking, tradeshow-tracking and work-in-progress management solutions for a variety of commercial and public sector clients. Additionally, RFID Global Solution and Convergent Systems provide technical services and products supporting manufacturers desiring to improve efficiencies while addressing compliance with ever expanding retail and U.S. Government RFID mandates.

Since 2003, major U.S. retailers and the U.S. Department of Defense have mandated that their suppliers use passive RFID technology on cases and pallets of product. The US Department of Homeland Security is also increasing the use of active electronic seal/anti-tamper RFID technology for tracking shipping containers arriving at U.S. ports. As a result of these mandates, global manufacturers are beginning to implement RFID where their products are made, including the massive manufacturing base in the Asia Pacific Region.
