CCR is the third largest academic supercomputing center in the world, when considering peak performance from the top500 list and the 10TF peak performance system just installed in the center. The Center for Computational Research, part of UB's New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, serves a very broad range of applications including computational chemistry, environmental engineering, real-time visualization, bioinformatics, computational fluid dynamics, and data mining. IBRIX worked in tandem with Dell and EMC on the installation at The Center for Computational Research. The IBRIX solution is EMC eLabs qualified and is backed by a joint Worldwide Cooperative Support Agreement (CSA) for mutual customers, such as UB, with seamless technical support to ensure maximum uptime for mission-critical storage networks.
