SBC Communications Inc. (NYSE: SBC) today announced a new campaign designed to highlight the new "superpower" marketing alliance between SBC companies and Twentieth Century Fox to jointly promote the studio's epic motion picture "Fantastic Four," based on Marvel Comic's first family of comic superheroes, and SBC services. The integrated promotion builds on the success of previous SBC promotional efforts with the release of a major motion picture last fall and the ongoing marketing campaign featuring Eric Clapton.
"Fantastic Four" follows a group of astronauts who each gain a unique superpower when their genetic structures are altered after suffering a cosmic radiation disaster. Together, they turn tragedy into triumph and catastrophe into coalition, using their unique and formidable powers to thwart the evil plans of their iron-fisted nemesis Dr. Doom and to protect the citizens of New York City against any threat that may arise.
