Pacifica Hotel Company Donates $30,000 to Help Tsunami Victims

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2005--Pacifica Hotel Company (PHC), which owns and manages 24 California hotels from San Diego to the San Francisco Bay Area, has donated $30,000 to the Children's Hunger Fund to help victims of the recent Southeast Asian tsunami. The donation fulfills PHC's pledge to donate $1 for every occupied room in PHC hotels during the month of January.

Phillips received a check for $30,000 from PHC President Dale J. Marquis, who conceived the dollar-a-room-a-day campaign after the tragic tsunami and challenged other hotel management companies to follow suit.
