Kinross Gold Corporation (TSX: K), $21.08, +0.55, 2.68%, is an exploration company with interests in acquisition, development and operation of gold-bearing properties. Kinross reached a high today of $21.32 with 3 million shares traded. The company has made gains today on no recent news. The latest to come out of Kinross was the announcement that Teryl Inc. has received a Letter of Intent for the acquisition of its interest in the Gil Joint Venture Gold Property in Alaska, from its Joint Venture Partner, Fairbanks Gold Mining Inc., a subsidiary of Kinross Gold Corporation. The company’s Board of Directors is to review the offer.
Outlook Resources Inc. (TSXV: OLR), $0.045, +0.010, 28.57%, with a gain of over 28% today and volume of over 3 million, is one of the top three heaviest traded securities on the TSX Venture today. Outlook Resources is involved in the acquisition, drilling and development of oil and gas prospects primarily in Alberta and southwestern Ontario. The last release from the company was at the beginning of the month advising that it signed a binding agreement with ERTH Solutions, Inc. to acquire all of the its ownership interest. The transaction is conditional upon receipt of approval from TSX Venture Exchange.
Taseko Mines Limited (AMEX: TGB), $3.38, +0.29, 9.39%, reached a high of $3.54, with the company releasing news that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Sojitz Corporation to establish a joint venture over Taseko's Gibraltar mine wherein Taseko will hold 75% and Sojitz 25%. Sojitz will pay $180 million to Taseko for its 25% interest. Taseko will continue to be the operator of Gibraltar. Taseko Mines is a mining exploration, development and production company.
Zinccorp Resources (TSXV: ZN), $0.115, +0.03, 35.29%, is a junior mineral exploration company that is focussing on discovery of large zinc-rich deposits. Zinccorp has made gains of over 35% today with 2.8 million shares traded, reaching a high of 0.14 and a low of 0.105 on no news. The last company news release back in August confirmed that subject to regulatory approval the acquisition of a 100% interest in the Denton, Keefer and Palomar Lake properties. Zinccorp also confirmed that it granted 315,000 stock options to its directors and officers and 975,000 stock options to employees and consultants at a price of $0.10 per share for a period of five years.
Medclean Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: MCLN), $0.04, +0.001, 2.04%, is making gains with a huge volume of over 180 million shares traded.
