New Firm Canvas Brand Advisors Focuses on Building Inspiring Brands; Bringing Them to Life
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, two former brand executives from Lippincott, Jana Zednickova and Alex Reid launched Canvas Brand Advisors (www.canvasbrandadvisors.com).
Canvas is a boutique brand consultancy that goes beyond brand definition to brand activation. The company provides traditional branding strategy and identity design services and couples them with practical business understanding and a focus on activation services.
Most recently, Zednickova and Reid were Senior Partner and Partner, respectively, in the brand strategy group of Lippincott in New York. They’ve served a broad range of clients, from startups and non-profit organizations to leading Fortune 100 players.

Zednickova’s background includes working as a consultant to the marketing innovation firm Fusion5/Added Value. She was also a project manager at McKinsey in London and Prague, where she led assignments developing marketing, communications and growth strategies for key financial services players. Earlier, she was a business development associate for GE Capital Corporation in Brussels and a financial analyst at Prudential Securities in New York. Zednickova holds a B.A. and an M.A. in International Affairs/International Trade from the Prague School of Economics and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Recognized as a thought-leader, her branding work has been published in a number of white papers and marketing articles.
Earlier in his career, Reid served as a consultant to Lufthansa, where he helped the airline determine strategies for motivating employees more effectively. Reid has been a frequently featured speaker on touchpoint alignment and brand activation, sharing his work at The Conference Board’s Corporate Image and Branding Conference. He has also been a guest lecturer at Yale University’s School of Art and Emory’s Roberto C. Goizueta Business School. Mr. Reid earned his M.Sc. in Management Studies from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and a B.A. in Architecture from Yale University.
