Liverpool FC's 2009 Preseason Tour, Live on Fox Soccer Channel Starting July 22

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today Fox Soccer Channel announced it will bring viewers live and exclusive English-language coverage of three matches during Liverpool FC’s 2009 preseason tour.
Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, and a star-studded Liverpool lineup begins its preseason preparations in Asia on Wednesday, July 22 against the Thai National Team. Fox Soccer Channel’s live coverage from Bangkok begins at 9 a.m. ET.
"The Reds" then travel south where they face the Singapore National Team on Sunday, July 26, live on Fox Soccer Channel at 8 a.m. ET. On Wednesday, Aug. 5, Liverpool returns to Europe for a match at Norwegian Tippeligaen side FC Lyn Oslo starting at 1 p.m. ET.
Fox Soccer Channel will televise two additional preseason matches featuring Barclays Premier League clubs in August, to be announced at a later date.
Liverpool FC will use these three matches as a tune-up for the upcoming 2009/2010 Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League seasons, with live coverage of both competitions beginning next month on Fox Soccer Channel. The Reds’ Premier League opener at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, August 15 will be televised live by Fox Soccer Channel. While UEFA Champions League action premieres Tuesday, August 18 on America’s Soccer Network, Liverpool enters the world’s biggest club tournament with the group stages in mid-September.
