Concerro, Inc. Acquires CommandAware™ Hospital Incident Management and Disaster Response System from PortBlue Corporation
Acquired Product Line Provides Future Growth Opportunity
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--San Diego-based Concerro, Inc., the market leader in enterprise-wide open shift and workforce management software, announced today that it has acquired all of the product assets and related intellectual property of PortBlue Corporation’s CommandAware™ hospital incident management system line of business.
CommandAware enables hospitals to prepare for, manage, and recover from disasters and incidents of all kinds, while also providing the functionality for day-to-day hospital capacity management. Its regional data sharing system enables multi-agency regional coordination through the sharing of data on capacity, equipment and supplies, critical infrastructure and personnel with real time Incident Command System (ICS) status.

CommandAware offers hospitals a turn-key solution to NIMS/HICS IV compliance, supported by federal grant funding. Since its launch in early 2007, CommandAware has been deployed at more hospitals than any other ICS, with over 250 facilities and government entities using the system. CommandAware addresses all phases of disaster response including preparation, mitigation, response and recovery. It has been used during numerous emergency drills, including the largest earthquake exercise in U.S. history, and in response to real disasters including hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, a mass casualty train accident and high patient census.
