Data Projections’ TechXchange 2009 Forums Connect
Educators
with State-of-the-Art Classroom Technology
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Data Projections Inc., a leading audio/visual systems designer and integrator, kicked off TechXchange 2009 in Houston today as the first leg of its tri-city interactive forums for education professionals to experience the latest in integrated technology solutions for the classroom.
Altogether, more than 400 educators registered for today’s TechXchange in Houston and the following upcoming forums:
- Dallas/Fort Worth – May 6 at the Doubletree Hotel in Dallas
- San Antonio/Austin – May 8 at the Hyatt Regency in San Antonio
Data Projections’ TechXchange is designed to help teachers engage students in the experience of exemplary learning through state-of-the-art technology teaching solutions for classrooms that are based on cutting-edge learning technologies. Participants have the opportunity to discover, discuss and learn about the best ideas and technologies for learning, and how these can be designed, purchased and implemented into best practices in educational settings.
“Educational technology is evolving at an unprecedented rate. New technologies, strategies and best practices are emerging almost daily. TechXchange offers the latest in classroom sound systems, document cameras, videoconferencing, video streaming and interactive whiteboards, and even more importantly, information on how to efficiently integrate these technologies,” said Data Projections Vice President of Sales and Marketing Matthew Zaleski.
TechXchange gives attendees the opportunity to:
- See how SMART Boards are being infused with document cameras to create SMART documents
- Learn about creating, presenting, capturing, and distributing video simply and effectively
- Experience the benefits of interactive whiteboards
- Discover how videoconferencing technology can enhance learning
- Come away with research-backed results that show how the addition of a classroom sound amplification system can raise test scores and increase learning
- See how the SMART Response clickers are engaging shy students and also helping teachers monitor learning with just two clicks of the mouse
This year’s TechXchange also is featuring the new SMART table and will provide demos of this brightly colored multitouch, multiuser table fitted with an interactive screen so that groups of students can get hands-on with collaborative activities.
