Independent Oracle Users Group Offers Virtual Attendance to COLLABORATE 09
Forty virtual sessions extended to Oracle professionals unable to travel
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In recognition of current economic conditions and increasing cutbacks on businesses travel, the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) today announced the availability of virtual session offerings for its annual Oracle users group conference. Companies that have registered at least one employee for the COLLABORATE 09 - IOUG Forum held May 3-7, 2009 in Orlando, are now eligible to set-up virtual access for their entire company.
“We recognize companies everywhere are looking for ways to save. This option takes into account economic conditions while still allowing members to get the greatest value from networking, continuing education and best practice sharing.”
Forty virtual sessions are now available to choose from that will run concurrently with the conference. The Webinar sessions (30-minute, one-hour and two-hour) can be customized depending on educational interests. Registering for one-seat license affords unlimited employee access to virtual sessions, and is designed to save companies thousands of dollars based on their level of participation.
“The virtual attendance option gives companies the flexibility to access COLLABORATE content without leaving the office,” said Ian Abramson, president of IOUG. “We recognize companies everywhere are looking for ways to save. This option takes into account economic conditions while still allowing members to get the greatest value from networking, continuing education and best practice sharing.”
COLLABORATE is co-hosted by Oracle Applications User Group and Quest International Users Group at the Orange County Convention Center West in Orlando, Fla. With more than 5,000 professionals in the greater Oracle community expected to attend, COLLABORATE 09 is recognized as one of the largest and most comprehensive Oracle-based user conferences.
