Fox Soccer Channel Announces On-Air Talent for WPS Sunday on FSC Telecasts Beginning March 29
Mark Rogondino and Jenn Hildreth to Serve as Voices of League’s Inaugural Season
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fox Soccer Channel today announced the primary on-air talent for its live and exclusive Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) game of the week telecast package, featuring Mark Rogondino handling play-by-play responsibilities and Jenn Hildreth providing color commentary during the league’s inaugural 2009 season.

Branded as WPS Sunday on FSC, the 20-match regular season package will commence with the Los Angeles Sol hosting the Washington Freedom on Sunday, March 29 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Fox Soccer Channel’s coverage of the WPS Inaugural Match begins with a 30-minute pregame show at 5:30 p.m. ET, leading into the highly-anticipated kickoff at 6 p.m. All but one of the weekly regular season telecasts will occur on Sunday evenings.
WPS Playoff coverage will be split between Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports Net’s owned and affiliated regional sports networks, which reach up to 80 million homes nationally. Coverage of the 2009 WPS All-Star Game will be announced at a later date.

Rogondino has been a member of the Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports World on-air talent team since 2002, announcing telecasts of the Barclays Premier League, Major League Soccer, college soccer and a slew of other domestic and international competitions. He has also been a member of the Los Angeles Galaxy broadcast team for the past four years, where he initially served as a sideline reporter before moving into the booth during the 2006 season. A San Diego, Calif., native, Rogondino played collegiately at San Diego State University.
A newcomer to the Fox Soccer Channel family, Hildreth has worked for Fox Sports Net, the Big Ten Network, Raycom Sports and Comcast Sports as an Emmy® Award-winning features reporter, host, sideline reporter, anchor, color analyst and play-by-play announcer, bringing a wealth of experience and versatility to the booth. At FSN South, she serves as the primary color commentator for Southeastern Conference women’s college soccer, and has also been a part of the network’s highly-acclaimed college football and basketball preview shows since their inception in 2005, both as a host and a reporter. A former soccer, basketball and track and field student-athlete at Emory University, Hildreth continues to reside in Atlanta and in 2003 served as color analyst for Comcast’s coverage of the WUSA’s Atlanta Beat.
In addition, it was announced that global sportlifestyle brand, PUMA, will serve as the presenting sponsor of WPS Sunday on FSC telecasts. PUMA is also the founding partner of Women’s Professional Soccer and has been a long-time partner of Fox Soccer Channel.
