SNL’S Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone & Akiva Schaffer Celebrate the Release of Their Debut Album Incredibad with a Press Conference in New York City
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dubbed by many critics as the world’s ‘funniest comedy team for the internet generation,’ the comedic collaborative of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer will release Incredibad, their first comedy CD/DVD on February 10, 2009. The innovative trio, commonly known as The Lonely Island, made online and television history with some of the web’s most popular satirical sketches. Among the breakout gems to be included on Incredibad is the Emmy winning YouTube sensation "D*** In a Box," featuring superstar Justin Timberlake, which snagged a record-breaking 28 million views, and the more recent follow-up "J**z In My Pants," which had 15 million views in its first month on YouTube.

The Lonely Island has created numerous comedic films, shorts, parody songs, and music videos, most notably for Saturday Night Live, where "Lazy Sunday", "D*** in a Box", and "J**z in My Pants" first debuted. The group operates a web site under the same name that showcases their collaborations. Andy, Akiva & Jorma currently work together as writers on Saturday Night Live, with Andy performing as well. In August 2007 the group premiered their first feature film, the very well received Hot Rod. |
