In August 2008, AmeriHealth Mercy deployed NaviNet to Pennsylvania-based Keystone Mercy Health Plan and AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan. Three other AmeriHealth Mercy plans — MDwise Hoosier Alliance, Passport Health Plan and Select Health of South Carolina — went live on NaviNet in the Fall of 2008. Because NaviNet has an already-established presence in physician practices and hospitals in all the states that the six AmeriHealth Mercy health plans serve, AmeriHealth Mercy can quickly deploy its NaviNet services to its network providers in those regions, rapidly gain provider adoption and efficiently begin the process of retiring its current provider communication Web sites.
