Quest Software Continues and Expands The Experts Conference with a Broad Array of Pre-Conference Workshops
Leading Experts to Deliver Five Hands-On Workshops at Top Educational Event
ALISO VIEJO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today announced plans to continue The Experts Conference (TEC), a leading technology conference founded by recent acquisition, NetPro. Adding to the power of the conference, Quest is pleased to introduce a host of pre-conference workshops, presented by leading experts from organizations such as Microsoft Consulting Services, Oxford Computer Group and Ensynch. TEC 2009 will be divided into two distinct conferences, TEC for Directory & Identity and TEC for Exchange. The new format enables participants to drill down into the technical details relevant to their specific organizations and job functions and learn powerful new techniques for driving efficiency and security into their IT environments. Presented by Quest and sponsored by Microsoft, TEC 2009 will be held in Las Vegas March 22-24, and in Berlin September 14-16, 2009.
“Since its inception, TEC has attracted the leading directory and identity authorities in the world, solidifying its status as the top event for advanced technical education around Microsoft directory and identity technologies -- for the experts, by the experts,” said Gil Kirkpatrick, Quest expert-in-residence and TEC founder. “2009 promises to fulfill this legacy, and we intend to bring the same level of support and education to the Exchange and Unified Messaging communities with TEC for Exchange.”
Geared toward advanced users of Windows Exchange Server technology, TEC for Exchange 2009 centers around the theme “Under the Hood: Architecting and Administering Exchange 2007, the Foundation for Unified Communications,” and the pre-conference workshop will feature the Oxford Computer Group presenting “Identity Provisioning with NextGen Hosted Exchange.” Attendees of this session will walk away with experience in the next-generation Exchange 14, including hands-on instruction on how to use Remote PowerShell, hosted Exchange management utilities, and Identity Lifecycle Manager’s new GALSync14.
“Identity without Borders: Bringing the Identity Metasystem to the Enterprise” is the theme for TEC for Directory & Identity 2009. The pre-conference workshop component of the event will feature such offerings as:
- Codeless Provisioning with ILM “2,”/ Group Management with ILM “2,” presented by Microsoft Consulting Services: MCS demonstrates how a provisioning scenario with simple workflow can be easily implemented with ILM “2” without writing a line of code, and how groups can be easily managed through ILM “2.”
- Implementing a Password Reset Scenario Leveraging the New Functionality in ILM “2,” presented by Microsoft Consulting Services: During this second two-part workshop, MCS reveals how a password reset situation can be actualized without writing code, and ways ILM “2” can be used to manage objects in Active Directory.
- Taming the Chaos—Building a Practical Lifecycle Management in the ILM “2” Portal, presented by Ensynch: Participants gain knowledge of the extensibility that the ILM “2” portal allows for the lifecycle management of numerous resources.
