Dr. Susan Van Dyke Named to Director Position for The Crossroads, Inc., a Phoenix, Ariz., Non-Profit for Drug & Alcohol Abuse Recovery
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Van Dyke Laser & Skin, a cosmetic dermatology practice in the Valley since 1980 that is known nationally for being among the first to offer the newest proven products and procedures, today announced that The Crossroads, Inc., a drug and alcohol abuse recovery organization with six Phoenix residential locations, has recognized Dr. Susan Van Dyke’s ongoing dedication and contribution to the organization by formally inviting her to join the governing board of directors as a member.

Dr. Van Dyke has been an active volunteer with The Crossroads since 2006, including her role as chair of the annual fundraising gala committee for 2007 and 2008. Under her leadership, net proceeds of the event have increased 81 percent from 2006 to 2007, with a projected additional increase of 25 percent for 2008. She joins the board at a significant point in the organization’s growth, as it has recently added a new women’s transition facility and expanded another.
The Crossroads is currently planning its annual ‘roads of Hope fundraising gala, scheduled for Nov. 15, 2008. This year’s gala, chaired by Van Dyke and appropriately themed “Flower Power,” will provide much-needed funding for the new women’s facility located on Flower Street in Phoenix.
