Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile), a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., which is the proud mobile phone partner of the U.S. Olympic Team, kicks off the Medal Mania contest today, an online hunt for hidden gold medals with a chance to win a $100,000 grand prize.

To enter the Medal Mania contest, Olympic Games fans can visit www.medalmania.com beginning July 24. After registering, participants can win virtual medals three ways: 1) entrants will receive clues on where to find the hidden virtual medals, which can be found on official Samsung Web sites and various other locations on the Web; 2) during the Olympic Games, which begin August 8, entrants will receive bonus virtual medals automatically whenever Team USA wins a gold medal; and 3) registered participants will receive a virtual medal for each person they refer to sign up for the Medal Mania contest.

Each medal collected counts as an entry towards the $100,000 grand prize drawing at the conclusion of the Olympic Games.
