Google Sponsors Scholarships for Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference
World’s Largest Gathering of Technical Women in Computing
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI) announced today that Google will be funding more than 50 scholarships for women to attend the 8th Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) of Women in Computing Conference. These scholarships cover conference registration as well as travel and hotel expenses.

The scholarships are available in multiple areas, including:
- Google Women of Color Scholarship
- Google Global Community Scholarship - awarded to a group of international students studying computer science at universities outside of the U.S.
- Change Agent – awarded to accomplished technical women from emerging countries around the world
- Google Anita Borg Scholars – in addition to $10,000 scholarships recipients also receive registration and travel to the Grace Hopper Celebration. These scholarships are offered in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. For more information visit www.google.com/jobs/scholarships.
Academic scholarships for computer science students, and travel scholarships for students to attend conferences like the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, support the goal of retaining more women and under-represented groups in computer science. The Grace Hopper Celebration gives students a unique opportunity to meet each other and build networks with other computer science students and professionals who are passionate about their work and diversity in the field.
