Top Dallas Attorneys Join Forces to Establish New Firm, Spencer Crain Cubbage Healy & McNamara PLLC
Majority Woman-Owned Firm to Leverage over 130 Years of Combined Experience
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Five of Dallas’ most highly respected attorneys announce today the launch of a new firm, Spencer Crain Cubbage Healy & McNamara PLLC (www.spencercrain.com). Founding shareholders, Jennifer J. Spencer, Gayla C. Crain, Brenda T. Cubbage, Elise A. Healy and Larry J. McNamara, bring more than 130 years of collective big firm experience in litigation, labor and employment law, business immigration and dispute resolution to the new firm.
“We’ve custom built a firm around precisely what our clients want,” said shareholder Gayla Crain. She added, “By bringing together the best practices of top tier firms, we can deliver what every client demands: efficient results, direct access to senior level attorneys, and billing arrangements that are aligned with their business goals.” With the resources to staff large or complex cases nationwide, the firm will also be able to provide clients with flexible billing options such as blended rates, volume discounts, fixed fees for each stage of litigation and project fees.
In discussing why the founding partners assembled to form the new entity, shareholder Jennifer Spencer cited a common vision of a client-centered, practical approach and the marketplace need for a highly qualified, majority woman-owned firm. She explained, “It was a strategic decision grounded in a shared philosophy towards our work: We all have a passion for the law and are aggressive advocates for our clients.”
Several of the firm’s partners boast clients who have remained with them for 20 years or more and are already signed on with Spencer Crain. “The loyalty of our clients is the greatest testament to the results we achieve and the way we practice law,” noted Spencer. A representative listing of clients signing on with the new firm include: Eli Lilly and Company; Greyhound Lines, Inc.; Hexter-Fair Title Company; Kennington Capital; Kennington Properties; and Temple-Inland Inc. among others.
“The JCPenney Legal Department has enjoyed working with Gayla Crain over the years on important HR litigation matters. We appreciate her dogged determination, candor and practical advice, as well as her willingness to partner with us to achieve our desired results,” said Celeste d. Flippen, senior managing counsel, JCPenney Corporation, Inc. “The Department is delighted to learn that Gayla has co-founded a women-owned firm. Our department is committed to diversity and expects its outside counsel to be as well. We look forward to continuing to work with Gayla in the future.”
