Two North Shore Announces Expansion and Welcomes New Tenants!

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After 86 years downtown, Dayle May Jewelers is packing up and moving across the river to the North Shore. The current location on West 8th Street closed on February 15th and the new store, located in the new Two North Shore shopping center off Manufacturer's Road, is scheduled to open in late March.

Hair a go-go is also joining the tenant mix at Two North Shore. Their current location on Cherokee Blvd. has been open since January 2004, and in 2007 they started their own private line, Sparrow Cosmetics. On Friday, March 21 they will be closing their current location and plan to open on Wednesday, March 26 at Two North Shore. Elizabeth Tate, owner of Hair a go-go, is excited to be part of Two North Shore for many reasons. It has great neighbors, an awesome location with convenient access from the interstate and enough parking for everyone. I am also excited about being part of a LEED project. We are making many intentional changes to Hair a go-go in hopes to help the environment in our own way.

With the addition of Dayle May and Hair a go-go, the current buildings at Two North Shore will be fully occupied. Steve Arnsdorff, Owner and Developer of Two North Shore, said, We have initiated construction on our final building, a 32,000 sq. ft. two level structure that we plan on opening in September. We are fully leased on phase I and we have several executed leases and letters of intent for phase II. Moving into the new building are Learning Express and North Shore Yoga. Several other potential tenants are negotiating leases at this time, including an upscale restaurant.

The Learning Express franchise will be a locally owned and operated neighborhood toy store. Beyond their unique selection of toys and gifts, they also offer product exclusives: a novel birthday box registry and perks such as Free Personalization, Free Gift Wrapping and a VIP Program. Asked why she chose Two North Shore, owner Mary Beth Conklin said, We are proud to be part of the revitalization of downtown. We see Two North Shore an exciting part of the hub of activity that will draw people from all over Chattanooga. The opening of Learning Express is scheduled for late summer 2008.

North Shore Yoga is owned and operated by Sara Mingus and Jessica Jollie, popular Chattanooga Yoga instructors. Jessica Jollie has been practicing yoga for 13 years and teaching for 8. She became a nationally registered yoga teacher through the yoga alliance in 2000 and in 2006 she gained her advanced teachers certification. Sara Mingus has been practicing yoga since 1999 and has over 600 hours of teacher training under her belt. She has been studying and assisting with world renowned yoga teacher Baron Baptiste for the last 4 years. They chose to be a part of Two North Shore because of its green design, Yoga encompasses the concept of preserving the natural environment and this center upholds the values that we are trying to live. The concept of healthy living is vibrant at Two North Shore so our yoga studio is a perfect fit. They plan to open late summer 2008.

Northwest Georgia Bank held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 18 and plan to open their Two North Shore branch in early September. They too picked Two North Shore because of the location to serve their customers as well as their excitement about joining a LEED project. Northwest Georgia Bank made the commitment to build their building to LEED standards.

Two North Shore Developer and Owner, Steve Arnsdorff said, We are proud to announce this additional building. We plan to continue to find locally operated businesses that are committed to high quality, as well as providing a high level of service to the local market. The community seems excited about supporting our existing tenant mix (local tenants such as Greenlife, Rock Creek, WiggleWorm, Bill Shores Frames & Gallery, Willa Collection, Larimar MedSpa and New Moon Gallery). While other leases are in the works, there is still space available in the new building. For leasing information, please contact Cullon Hooks at CS & Associates at 821-2121 or 595-7331.
