IDS Scheer Partners with Systar to Launch New Process Event Monitoring Solution
New ARIS Process Event Monitor Solution to be Unveiled at CeBIT 2007 in March
BERWYN, Pa. & SAINT-CLOUD, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IDS Scheer, the leading provider of solutions for business process excellence, today announced a partnership agreement with Systar (Euronext Paris: SAR) (ISIN: FR0000052854), the leading provider of Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) solutions. Under the agreement, IDS Scheer will embed Systar’s core technology to provide customers with real-time business event monitoring. The new offering, ARIS Process Event Monitor, will provide companies with real-time monitoring to manage exceptions and risks within business processes.
“With that innovation, we are opening up opportunities to penetrate new market segments which is an essential goal for IDS Scheer and its ambitious growth strategy”
Today’s organizations are continually striving for business agility. Automation of applications, transactions and devices is playing a critical role, especially with the volume of external and internal events related to the company’s business processes. Customer expectations – and the drive for efficiency – require businesses to respond to events and initiate effective action in real-time. Companies that adapt their business model to thrive in a real-time environment, by embedding intelligence within business processes, will realize significant competitive gains.
ARIS Process Event Monitor will provide current process-relevant information and enable companies to react immediately to critical events. Rule-based alerts, notifications and actions intelligently identify critical situations based on automated tracking of on-going processes fed by sophisticated adapters that capture, filter and aggregate events.
IDS Scheer has extensive experience with business process monitoring, evidenced by its ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM) targeting the middle-term analysis of as-is processes and optimization by analyzing their structure. This will be complemented by the ARIS Process Event Monitor with a focus on exception handling. This combination, used in tandem with the other components of the ARIS platform, will enable customers to manage their business from an operational to a strategic level. IDS Scheer will also use this technology to address compliance monitoring, controls automation and service-oriented architectures (SOA) monitoring.
The partnership combines the might of two proven leaders in their respective areas of expertise. IDS Scheer’s ARIS Platform is the industry standard for BPM solutions based on extensive process knowledge, and Systar was recently ranked by a leading IT analyst firm as the only “strong positive” vendor within the current MarketScope for Business Activity Monitoring Platforms.
“With that innovation, we are opening up opportunities to penetrate new market segments which is an essential goal for IDS Scheer and its ambitious growth strategy,” states Dr. Wolfram Jost, member of the board of IDS Scheer responsible for product strategy and development. “The control of exceptions within business processes will become key for increasing customer satisfaction and managing risks. Customers will profit from the combination of ARIS Process Event Monitor with the existing ARIS Process Performance Manager to cope with the challenges of the real-time world.”
“Systar recognizes IDS Scheer as a pioneer in business process management and is happy to have them as an OEM partner,” said Bertrand Bouhour, COO of Systar, Inc. “The leading analysts agree that process optimization is realized most fully when events are provided to the right people at the right time during process execution. BAM helps companies achieve rapid innovation by enabling them to detect events, filter them and trigger Business Process Management (BPM) solutions. Systar's BAM offering, as part of the ARIS Process Event Monitor, will provide customers with real-time information that is actionable in formats that both the IT organization and the Business organization can use to make decisions. We at Systar look forward to working with IDS Scheer in providing this value-added solution.”
