Originally filed in 1999, the invention describes the use of video metadata to deliver a personalized video experience across multiple platforms, including cable/satellite, broadband, and mobile. This is a continuation-in-part of U.S. Patent No. 5,892,536, which was filed in 1996 and issued to Gotuit on April 6, 1999. With its 47 individual claims, this new patent adds to the vast portfolio held by Gotuit Media focused on the use of metadata to enhance the experience of video search, video navigation, and the management/viewing of stored media.
