Soliant Health’s Bilingual Therapies Unit to Host 8th Annual Bilingual Symposium

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Soliant Health, the healthcare staffing unit of MPS Group, Inc. (NYSE:MPS), today announced that its Bilingual Therapies unit will host a symposium for practicing bilingual speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in Los Cabos, Mexico, July 17-19. This will be the eighth annual symposium and the only one of its kind dedicated to bilingual SLPs.

The primary goal of the symposium is to supplement the practicing bilingual speech-language pathologist’s knowledge base using current research combined with practical application. Each attendee will have the opportunity to participate in multiple, two-hour sessions given by the field’s most respected academic leaders with topics including interaction in bilingual language acquisition; the intricacies of language use in Spanish-speaking families with deaf and hard-of-hearing children; childhood apraxia of speech in the bilingual child; diagnosis and treatment strategies; culturally responsive services for students with autism spectrum disorders and their families; and language sampling and analysis.
