edō Interactive Announces the Launch of Facecard Prepaid MasterCard®

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--edō Interactive, a pioneer in the development of technologies that utilize pre-existing payments infrastructure and modern social networking communities for digital marketing purposes, today introduced the Facecard Prepaid MasterCard® issued by MetaBank. Facecard will deliver an incentivized payment option to 82 million young adults, commonly known as “millennials.”

Facecard is accepted wherever Debit MasterCard is accepted and is combined with advertiser-issued Prewards™ and edōCash™. It creates a medium of exchange that simplifies and streamlines spending and gifting among millennials.

The Facecard Prepaid MasterCard does not allow the user to spend more than the balance, so no overdraft fees are charged. Additionally, the first 250,000 members who sign up will have their activation and monthly maintenance fees waived.

Facecard Members receive Prewards - deposits on their Facecard to be used at retailers - or edōCash. Members can check their balance online and create a customizable profile to receive the Prewards they desire.

The Facecard website (www.facecard.com) is online as a beta program where members may order a Facecard, log-in to manage their accounts and edit their profile.
