Talt Joins Lockton as VP-Employee Benefits
Experienced Benefits Consultant Joins Leading Private Broker
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Laura Talt, JD, has joined Lockton Companies, the world’s largest privately held insurance broker. Talt will serve as Vice President and Consultant for Lockton’s Employee Benefits operation in New York.
“Laura will work with Lockton clients to plan and structure their employee benefit programs, manage trends and issues, negotiate coverage and evaluate outcomes,” Chief Operating Officer Tim Ryan said.
Talt joins Lockton from Frank Crystal & Company where she was an Associate Director in the firm’s national employee benefit practice in New York. Prior to Frank Crystal, Talt served as a Vice President and client manager in Willis’ New York benefits consulting group and as an account executive with MetLife where she helped build the carrier’s portfolio of life, dental, disability and voluntary benefit customers. Talt is a licensed attorney and served as national counsel to a leading automaker while at the law firm of Howard & Howard in suburban Detroit.
Talt holds a JD from Wayne State University in Detroit and a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Oswego. She’s a member of the Michigan Bar Association, the Society of Human Resource Management and has been involved with both the Health Insurance Association of America and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
