Standard & Poor's Initiates Factual Stock Report Coverage on Kinbauri Gold Corp.
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard & Poor’s announced today that it has commenced Factual Stock Report coverage on Kinbauri Gold Corp.
Kinbauri Gold Corp. (TSX:KNB.C), in the development stage as of Feb. 29, 2008, acquires, explores and develops highly prospective, mainly precious metals, properties. Kinbauri's properties are located in northwestern Spain, Nevada and Canada.
The company's immediate focus is to delineate reserves and develop mine plans at its El Valle and Carles mines, both located in Spain, so that operations can recommence there. In March 2007, Kinbauri purchased certain assets in the Rio Narcea Gold Belt, including the El Valle mill and auxiliary facilities, the El Valle and Carles mines and associated mineral rights, and the mineral rights to the Godan-Ortesa and La Brueva properties. The company's agenda for 2008 includes completing a feasibility study by year end.
At the end of May 2008, 17,250 metres, three-quarters of the 23,000-meter in-fill drill program, had been completed at El Valle and the company was successfully upgrading resources to allow the definition of enough reserves at feasibility to justify recommencement of production.
Based on a resource-update report completed in January 2008, total estimated resources for the Rio Narcea Gold Belt assets are as follows: 1,716,200 ounces gold (9,516,000 tonnes at 5.8 grams gold/tonne) and 136.8 million pounds copper (7,906,000 tonnes at 0.8% copper).
This report will also be accessible on an ongoing basis to the investment community ---- scores of buy-side institutions and sell-side firms that utilize S&P research and information platforms daily. Millions of self-directed investors also have access to the report via their e-brokerage accounts.
