in its Annual Report on Form 10-K
CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Peoples Community Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: PCBI), a Maryland corporation doing business primarily through its wholly-owned banking subsidiary, Peoples Community Bank (the “Bank”), announced today that its Annual Report on Form 10-K, filed on April 15, 2008, included an explanatory paragraph from the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm as to the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern primarily due to the Company’s current lack of liquidity to repay its $17.5 million obligation under an outstanding line of credit due June 30, 2008. The Company is currently negotiating with the lender regarding a resolution of this issue.
