Newly added capabilities include support for SpectraLink's Voice Priority (SVP) mechanisms, enhanced roaming features, and fine-grain control over traffic classification and prioritization when deployed in a voice and data Wi-Fi network.

Xirrus has also signed Communique, a California-based provider of complete voice and data solutions, to its PartnerAdvantage Program. The Wireless LAN Array: Architected for VoWiFi

By combining the Wireless LAN switch and up to sixteen Integrated Access Points in a single device, the Wireless LAN Array minimizes latency caused by roaming in voice applications while providing the needed bandwidth to support voice alongside data without incurring performance degradation. The Wireless LAN Array's revolutionary architecture vastly simplifies network design and deployment with functions such as call admission, load balancing and QoS performed at the edge to minimize delay, a critical advantage in VoWiFi deployments.
