Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Appoints Chief Actuary and Vice President of Actuarial Services and Informatics
PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) today announced the appointment of Jeff Stelnik as Chief Actuary and Vice President of Actuarial Services and Informatics.
Stelnik will provide BCBSAZ with leadership in the area of risk management. He will be a pivotal member of the BCBSAZ management team, acting as an innovative technical resource and guide and as a collaborative visionary who will help BCBSAZ achieve profitable growth through exceptional and proactive financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. In addition, he is responsible for managing and developing the department’s staff to achieve overall goals and objectives.

He joins BCBSAZ with extensive experience in the insurance industry, having spent more than 10 years with CIGNA with a focus on actuarial, pricing and underwriting. Most recently, he served as President and General Manager of CIGNA Voluntary in Phoenix.
Stelnik graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and quantitative economics. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
