TrueSight Load Test Adapter Automates and Simplifies HP LoadRunner
Web Application Performance Validation
Automatically Discovers Top Transactions to Generate LoadRunner Test
Scripts
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Coradiant
Inc., a leader in Web Application Performance Management, today
announced the release of TrueSight® Load Test Adapter, a turnkey
software product addition to the Coradiant TrueSight Web Application
Performance Management family that makes load testing Web applications
accurate, faster and less costly. TrueSight Load Test Adapter generates
accurate HP LoadRunner™ test scripts derived from real-time, end-user
generated traffic captured from a live production environment. TrueSight
Load Test Adapter analyzes that traffic and automatically determines the
most frequently used click paths and the highest traffic volume
requests, allowing quality assurance personnel to auto-generate
realistic HP LoadRunner load testing scripts from the most interesting
click paths.
Tedious and time-consuming manual generation of load testing scripts
using available tools requires that quality assurance personnel make
guesses in order to simulate Web site traffic patterns. Available tools
don’t generate testing scripts that accurately reflect the highest
volume or most frequently used click paths, even when they have access
to real traffic. The end result is inaccurate load tests that do not
represent real life situations and do not reflect the actual top
transactions that exist on sites.
"Coradiant TrueSight Load Test Adaptor is designed to make performance
testing fast, simple and efficient," said Jerry Rosenberg, manager of
capacity planning at DealerTrack Holdings, Inc. "Our online Web
applications serve approximately 18,000 dealerships and are constantly
evolving to meet market needs. Our testing showed that TrueSight Load
Test Adaptor gave us an accurate picture of actual site traffic and will
enable us to quickly generate precise testing scripts for LoadRunner.
Reproducing real-world usage in our testing environment should allow us
to significantly enhance the quality of our applications prior to
deployment."
TrueSight Load Test Adapter integrates with Coradiant’s flagship
TrueSight product as a separately deployed virtual machine that extracts
production data, analyzes the results and produces load testing scripts.
TrueSight Load Test Adapter automates the process of:
• Identifying the most commonly used click paths
• Creating virtual user scripts compatible with HP LoadRunner software
As a result, the guesswork is eliminated from the script building
process and the resulting scripts are more relevant and useful. Load
testing scripts are obtained much faster without needing deep knowledge
of the application being tested.
"High volume performance testing should be an integral part of every
organization’s Web application performance management strategy.
Coradiant TrueSight Load Test Adapter simplifies the testing process by
identifying the most common click paths and generating the corresponding
test scripts," said Fred Dumoulin, vice president of product management
at Coradiant. "Load testing tools such as HP LoadRunner emulate hundreds
or thousands of concurrent users in order to test production workloads
prior to rolling out upgrades to Web applications. Coradiant takes the
guesswork out of creating accurate and reliable scripts that reflect
actual site use as seen in production."
