Applied Materials Promotes Gilad Almogy to Senior Vice President
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Applied Materials announced the promotion of Gilad Almogy, Ph.D.,
to senior vice president and general manager of the Display and Thin
Film Solar Products Business Group, which provides deposition and test
systems used in flat panel display manufacturing and equipment for
Applied’s SunFab™
thin film solar production lines.
“This has been a pivotal year for Display, and
Gilad is leading his team to make significant progress toward broadening
the product portfolio and realigning operations to be close to our
customers in Asia,” said Mike Splinter,

significantly ramping Display manufacturing, Gilad has also been
instrumental in enabling display platforms to provide key elements of
our innovative SunFab solar production lines.”
Dr. Almogy was named general manager of Applied’s
Display and Thin Film Solar Products Business Group in August 2007.
Previously, he was general manager of Applied’s
Process Diagnostics and Control (PDC) business group based in Israel.
