Ameron International Appoints Richard Mueller President of Water Transmission Group

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ameron International Corporation (NYSE: AMN) today announced the appointment of Richard I. Mueller as Group President of the Water Transmission Group effective January 19, 2009. In his new position, Mueller will report to Gary Wagner, Ameron’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Mueller had been Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services for the Group.

Mueller joined Ameron in 2002 and has held several key operational and technical positions. Prior to joining Ameron, Mueller was Vice President of Engineering and Marketing for Gifford-Hill-American, Inc., a subsidiary of Hanson, PLC. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and earned a Masters Degree in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University.
