Sustainable Architectural Aluminum Products From Alcoa’s Kawneer Business Contribute to Energy Efficiency of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alcoa (NYSE:AA) announced today that a range of its Kawneer architectural aluminum products are contributing to the “green” campus of the newly constructed $625 million Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The facility incorporates Kawneer products that maximize daylighting and thermal performance, including curtain wall, sunshades and thermally broken windows and doors.
Kawneer’s curtain wall envelopes much of the vibrant colorful palette of the hospital’s exterior and adds both light and drama to the four-story atrium that extends to the rooftop healing garden.
