TORONTO--()--TransCore’s Canadian Freight Index climbs for fifth straight month, shows significant improvement year over year with a 73 percent increase in spot market freight availability. The May 2010 index rose by 22 points over the previous month. Combined cross-border postings have increased 82 percent year over year. Truck postings have decreased by 14 percent for the same period indicating a reduction in capacity to meet demand.
