Amongst other accomplishments, Mr. Sahoo led the development of tradeMONSTER’s revolutionary HTML5 mobile platform, which received an unprecedented perfect score in the “Mobile” category of Barron’s 2014 Online Brokerage rankings. Overall, the tradeMONSTER platform ranked second out of 20 brokerages, and was named “Best for Options Traders” for the fifth year running.

A panel of accomplished judges, representing many of the leaders in Illinois technology, reviewed nominations to select the finalists. This year’s judges hail from major organizations including Fieldglass, Google, HERE, Orbitz and World Business Chicago.
Joining Mr. Sahoo as finalists for the prestigious award are Rishi Shah and Shradha Agarwal of ContextMedia, Brad Keywell of Groupon and Lightbank, Jim O’Connor Jr. of MVC Capital, and Terry Howerton of TechNexus. The winner will be determined by the ITA Board of Directors and announced on September 18 at the awards dinner.

In May of 2014, General Atlantic, a leading global growth equity firm, announced it would acquire a majority interest in tradeMONSTER. Further, it would purchase tradeMONSTER competitor, OptionsHouse, from PEAK6 Investments, L.P. and combine the brokerages under a new standalone company. The transactions are expected to close in the third quarter, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. GA will own a majority stake in the new combined company.
