WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Constellation West, a leading provider of mission-critical technology solutions for the U.S. government and one of the fastest-growing service-disabled veteran-owned, women-owned, small disadvantaged businesses in the country, announced today it is mentoring Applied Integrity Consulting and BWM Outcomes, two women-owned small businesses, as part of the GSA’s Mentor-Protégé Program.
“It’s truly an honor to be working with two inspiring women business owners who are bringing outstanding talent, expertise and innovative ideas to support our government. “It’s truly an honor to be working with two inspiring women business owners who are bringing outstanding talent, expertise and innovative ideas to support our government. They are building totally mission-focused businesses that are very much aligned to the goals and missions Constellation West shares,” said Lisa Wolford, president and CEO of Constellation West. “Through my professional journey and company’s growth, I personally know how difficult it can be for women-owned small businesses to break through in this industry. I hope that by providing these women leaders with my perspectives and advice and opening up my team to them, they will gain experience in this industry to maximize their success.”
Constellation West’s protégé companies will receive operational and business development guidance, have opportunities to partner on government customer contracts, and gain access to resources they otherwise would not have. GSA’s Mentor-Protégé Program is designed to encourage and motivate GSA prime contractors to assist small businesses and enhance their capability of performing successfully on GSA contracts and subcontracts. The goal is to increase the overall number of small businesses receiving GSA prime contract and subcontract awards as a result of their mentorship and refined business practices.
Applied Integrity Consulting (AIC) is a women-owned and economically disadvantaged small business employing consultants, analysts and engineers who have a wide range of experience and expertise in business and information technology services and solutions. President and CEO Loan Clarke launched AIC in January and hopes that through the Mentor-Protégé Program, AIC will continue to grow within the federal marketplace while continuing to focus on a supportive and collaborative environment for employees and customers.
“We are really excited to be working with Lisa and the Constellation West team,” said Clarke. “Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge gained through her own personal and professional experiences and successes. Through this experience, she has also become a trusted mentor and fellow business owner.”
BWM Outcomes is a woman-owned, veteran-owned small business established in 2014 by president and CEO Jacqueline Bahe. The company provides intelligence analysis, training and exercise support, and cyber capabilities to customers. Bahe seeks to apply her proven experience in the recruitment, hiring, management and retention of senior-level personnel in order to fulfill the needs of large businesses and government organizations.
“Working with Constellation West has been tremendously beneficial experience,” said Bahe. “I struggled to find a woman role model in the industry I could talk to, and Lisa is an excellent mentor. She doesn’t hand anything out — she worked hard to get where she is and will make sure you do the same thing.”
“Both of these companies are excellent examples of strong woman-led businesses,” said Wolford. “It is extremely rewarding to be in a position to help other women business leaders reach their full potential, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow and do great work for our nation’s government.”
