Logic PD Invests in WellClub™ to Accelerate Healthcare Industry's Drive to Improve Patient Behavior and Lower Chronic Care Costs
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Logic PD, a product innovation and realization company specializing in developing connected electronic devices, has invested in and formed a strategic partnership with WellClub™, a web- and mobile-based behavioral coaching company. Together, Logic PD and WellClub will help healthcare organizations lower chronic care costs and improve patient health through the integration of behavioral coaching software into technology devices and wearables.

The need for better managing chronic care costs has never been greater. The U.S. alone spends more than $600 billion a year on treating the top 10 chronic health conditions, which include heart disease, diabetes and asthma. The Logic PD and WellClub partnership offers a realistic solution that overcomes two current market issues. Too often, wearable devices and exercise equipment are used for some months and then abandoned. And ongoing behavior intervention by humans is prohibitively expensive and labor intensive.
