Pan-American Life Insurance Group Appoints EVP, CFO Carlos F. Mickan to the Group’s Board of Directors
NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), a leading provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, announced today the appointment of Carlos F. Mickan to the company’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Mickan currently oversees all financial operations as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pan-American Life and will continue in that role. With more than 25 years of financial leadership experience in Latin-American and Asian markets, Mr. Mickan has been a member of the senior management team at Pan-American Life since June 2005.

Prior to joining Pan-American Life, Mr. Mickan served as senior vice president and CFO of Principal International Inc., the International Division of Principal Financial Group, where he managed financial relationships and activities across Latin America and Asia. Born in Colombia, he is an alumnus of the Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also earned an M.B.A in international business from the University of South Carolina.
