IFALPA Statement on Malaysian Airlines flight MH17
MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) is deeply concerned by reports of the loss of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of the crew, passengers, and all those affected by the event.
Whilst information about the situation continues to emerge, IFALPA stresses the need to avoid any speculation as to what happened to the aircraft, but exercise patience until a thorough and independent investigation has been carried out.
The Federation is in contact with the Malaysian Air Line Pilots’ Association (MAPA) and will keep its resources at their disposal.
IFALPA is ready to assist the international aviation community in every way possible with the shared goal of advancing a safer air transportation system around the globe.
