NBC Sports Acquires Broadcast Rights for Match Between the Two European Football Powerhouses
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fenway Sports Management (FSM) today announced Buick as title sponsor of ‘Football at Fenway,’ featuring Liverpool Football Club (LFC) and AS Roma, two of the most prominent clubs in global football who will go head to head on Wednesday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Fenway Park.

As title sponsor, Buick will have a significant brand presence at Fenway Park and inclusion in all match-related marketing and event-related materials, including a Buick banner on the Green Monster, a Buick vehicle on the warning track as well an integrated ‘Buick Football at Fenway’ logo.

The highly anticipated match marks the second time these two storied clubs will compete on the pitch at Fenway Park. They last squared off on July 25, 2012 before a sold out crowd of more than 37,000 fans.

FSM also announced that NBC Sports has acquired the exclusive television rights to ‘Buick Football at Fenway,’ and will broadcast the match live to more than 80 million homes throughout the United States. Coverage will begin on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra with the special pre-match show at 7 p.m. ET. The kickoff follows at 7:30 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Group’s lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White joins the full U.S.-based Premier League announce team – Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino and Robbie Mustoe – on NBCSN’s primetime telecast of the match.
NBC Sports Group’s networks and platforms are leading destinations for soccer fans in the U.S. NBCUniversal, via the NBC Sports Group, is the home for all 380 Premier League matches, as well as comprehensive shoulder programming.
