Fortiline Waterworks Announces Strategic Acquisition of Construction Site Services, LLC
Expands Reach into Central U.S. with Two New Fortiline Locations
CONCORD, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fortiline Waterworks (Fortiline), one of the largest waterworks distributors in the United States, announced today it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire certain assets of Construction Site Services, LLC, of Hartford, Ky., effective Aug. 1, 2014. With this acquisition, Fortiline will now have 33 distribution branches in 12 states, expanding its reach into Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky and further into Tennessee.

Construction Site Services, LLC, was founded in 2002 by Kathy Wemhoener and is a regional leader in the distribution of waterworks, wastewater, meters and storm drainage materials.

This acquisition provides a significant opportunity for us to leverage this success and increase our footprint in the central U.S., allowing Fortiline to better meet the expectations of our growing number of customers,” said Mike Swedick, COO of Fortiline.

Construction Site Services, LLC, General Manager Kathy Wemhoener entered the waterworks industry in 1977 through working for the family business, Wemhoener Waterworks Supply. She founded Construction Site Services in 2002.
In 2005, Construction Site Services opened its first pipe and waterworks store in Paducah, Ky., to service customers in Kentucky, Illinois and in 2009, Tennessee. Jimmy Grimm, a waterworks industry veteran with more than 27 years of municipal experience, currently manages the Paducah location.

Bryan and Laura Ross formed Ross Construction in 1983, to offer utility contracting and later, with his son Jonathon, added Ross pre-cast concrete structures. Bryan and Laura joined Construction Site Services as co-owners in 2009.
Construction Site Services employees in Hartford and Paducah have more than 175 years of combined waterworks, pipeline and utility construction experience. The two, full-stocking locations serve municipalities, water districts, sanitary districts and associated contractors and commercial plumbers in Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee and Indiana on a weekly basis.
