Alpha Crude Connector, LLC Announces Successful Open Season, Project Approval to Proceed with the Alpha Pipeline Project and Initiation of a Second Open Season
TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alpha Crude Connector, LLC (“Alpha”) today announced a successful open season for the Alpha Crude Connector Pipeline (the “Pipeline” or the “System”), a new FERC regulated, crude oil transportation pipeline to be located in Lea and Eddy Counties, New Mexico and Culberson, Loving, Reeves and Winkler Counties, Texas. Having received sufficient binding commitments, Alpha’s owners have determined to proceed with the Pipeline.
“We are pleased to launch a Second Open Season for the Alpha Crude Connector Pipeline”
The Pipeline will have the capacity to accept over 100,000 barrels per day of crude oil from numerous lease tank batteries and other field receipt points and a truck terminal in the northern Delaware Basin. Shippers will have the ability to deliver crude through the System to multiple downstream pipelines and a rail terminal, providing access to local refineries, Cushing and the US Gulf Coast. The Pipeline is projected to be in service in the second half of 2015.
Second Open Season
Alpha intends to conduct a Second Open Season to explore obtaining additional binding long-term acreage or long-term volume commitments for this new crude oil transportation System. The Second Open Season will provide an additional opportunity for interested shippers to secure long term transportation commitments for certain capacity rights at competitive rates. “We are pleased to launch a Second Open Season for the Alpha Crude Connector Pipeline,” said Dave Presley, President and Chief Executive Officer of Frontier Energy Partners, LLC. All interested parties who signed a Confidentiality Agreement for the First Open Season are automatically entitled to receive information relative to the Second Open Season.

The Second Open Season is scheduled to begin on July 2, 2014 and end on November 4, 2014. All bids must be submitted to Alpha by 5:00 pm, Central Standard Time, on or before November 4, 2014.
