Leads firm’s new White Collar Defense and Investigations practice group
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Daniel M. McGillycuddy has joined Morrison Cohen LLP as a partner, leading the firm’s new white-collar defense and investigations practice group. McGillycuddy is a highly experienced trial lawyer in both federal and state court. His broad experience encompasses all phases of complex litigation, both at the trial and appellate level. He handles a wide range of civil and white-collar criminal matters and has been first chair on more than 125 trials and hearings before judges and juries nationwide.

As an assistant district attorney in the office of New York County District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau, McGillycuddy was lead prosecutor and investigative counsel in more than 300 investigations of complex corporate and financial matters. He handled more than 800 wide-ranging criminal investigations of homicides, murder conspiracies, narcotics trafficking, money laundering, official corruption, white-collar larceny, bank and securities fraud, tax evasion, forgery, commercial bribery, and OCCA offenses. He prosecuted organized crime figures for 15 years and handled multiple appeals.
McGillycuddy most recently was with Bingham McCutchen for eight years. Prior to working as an ADA, he was associated with the former white-collar defense firm Obermaier, Morvillo, Abramowitz and Fitzpatrick P.C., where he handled federal white-collar criminal and civil cases involving RICO, wire and mail fraud, tax evasion, securities fraud, broker-dealer regulatory matters, and complex commercial and securities actions.
