KSPG Realigns for Global Brand Clarity

NECKARSULM, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rheinmetall affiliate KSPG Group is realigning to better reflect a new global brand structure that will integrate its three core brands – Kolbenschmidt, Pierburg and Motorservice – and ensure a uniform and group-wide presentation to global customers.

Introduced in 2011, KSPG's corporate identity will now be used as an umbrella for the three traditional brands. Other aspects of the program, which launches in July, include a new corporate slogan, "Our heart beats for your engine;" building strong customer relationships; and a greater focus on the company’s employees and their commitment to customer service and technical excellence.

The three traditional brands will continue to play the lead role in their respective businesses.

  • The Kolbenschmidt brand will be used for KSPG's Hardparts division, which includes the Small-Bore Pistons, Bearings, Castings, and Large-Bore Pistons businesses that make small- and large-bore pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads, structural components, bearings and continuous castings.
  • Pierburg will be used by the Pump Technology (water, oil and vacuum pumps), Automotive Emission Systems (exhaust-gas recirculation systems), Solenoid Valves, Commercial Diesel Systems and Actuators business units under the Mechatronics division.
  • Motorservice will continue to specialize in domestic and international parts businesses as part of KSPG’s Aftermarket division.
