Dell and Ingram Micro Team to Deliver EMR Solutions and Services for Physicians
- Collaboration brings Dell’s end-to-end healthcare capabilities to physician practices of all sizes
- Robust support enables Dell channel partners to deliver exceptional service to healthcare customers
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dell announced today an enhanced collaboration with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) to expand its channel partner program for delivering electronic medical records (EMR) solutions and services to the physician market.
“With Ingram Micro, we can grow and empower our channel partners to deliver customized, end-to-end EMR solutions to facilitate adoption among physicians and ease the implementation process.”
“Dell’s technology and healthcare expertise are a natural fit with Ingram Micro's existing healthcare portfolio,” said Michael Humke, executive director of Vertical Markets and Healthcare, Ingram Micro U.S. “This expanded relationship with Dell will allow our mutual resellers to market, sell, deploy and support a full range of IT solutions that meet the complex needs of physician practices.”
Ingram Micro will provide technical, sales and healthcare expertise to Dell solution providers, from initial configuration and quoting through financing and delivery. The company’s dedicated healthcare team also will assist Dell solution providers in accessing the full range of resources, including pre-configured IT solutions for medical practices and testing and validation services with Dell’s ISV partners.
“Many physician networks are struggling to meet complex regulatory requirements while streamlining their business practices, and they require local, expert support to make the most of their technology investments,” said August Calhoun, Ph.D., vice president/general manager of Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences. “With Ingram Micro, we can grow and empower our channel partners to deliver customized, end-to-end EMR solutions to facilitate adoption among physicians and ease the implementation process.”
Dell EMR channel partners will continue to participate in the Dell PartnerDirect program and the EMR Solution Partner Program through which qualifying partners receive exclusive EMR deal registration, Dell EMR Solution Partner branding and access to the Dell Solution Center.
“The combination of the Dell certified stack of equipment and the myriad of Ingram Micro service offerings is the perfect ‘one-stop-shop’ for companies like mine,” said Bob Deuby, executive vice president/partner at The Computer Guys, a Dell Preferred Partner and Dell EMR Solution Partner. “Ingram Micro’s back-end support tools allow us to scale while maintaining the high-quality of service that our medical practice customers demand.”
