HAWTHORNE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At RSA 2014 in San Francisco, HOB, one of the market leaders in remote access solutions, announced the availability of HOBLink Mobile for Android, an app that enables secure remote access to enterprise data from Android devices. The company will show live demos of HOBLink Mobile for Android, as well as numerous other products in its suite of remote access solutions at booth #3231 in the North Hall of the Moscone Center.
“As the mobile workforce becomes more prevalent and security threats grow more sophisticated and menacing, it’s more important than ever that our customers feel confident that our products will protect them from malicious entities”
HOBLink Mobile for Android
HOBLink Mobile for Android is an app that provides secure remote access to enterprise resources in the corporate network. Because data is stored on the company server and is never downloaded to the device, sensitive business and personal information such as contact information, emails and attachments remain inaccessible to unauthorized users if the device is lost or stolen. Additionally, HOBLink Mobile for Android is an ideal part of a company’s BYOD strategy as there are no concerns about enterprise data security mixing with employees’ private data. The HOBLink Mobile client on an Android device communicates with the HOBCOM Universal Server, which is located in the corporate network where it communicates with the target server (e.g. Microsoft Exchange server). The entire data exchange is made over a proprietary HOB communication protocol. This provides a fast, reliable and secure connection. The HOBLink Mobile app is also available for the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and will soon be available for mobile devices running Windows and Linux operating systems.
HOB will provide an exclusive look at its first HTML 5 client HOBLink WebTerm for secure remote access, anytime, anywhere. HOBLink WebTerm represents a huge leap forward in the field of remote access solutions. With an HTML5 client, users will be able to access corporate resources using their web browser only. For companies and users this means that basic connections to a remote server will become even easier and more comfortable. HOB will showcase the key functionalities of HOBLink WebTerm to RSA attendees at the HOB booth.
HOBLink iWT and HOBLink JWT
Alongside HOBLink WebTerm, HOB will show live demos of the newest business connectivity products including HOBLink iWT, an Apple iPad app for secure remote access to company data and HOBLink JWT, an RDP client for remote access to Windows servers with remote desktop services, Windows desktop PCs or virtualized desktops.
