IDEAS Completes Projects for Spaceport Sweden and CareerSource Florida
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IDEAS has completed two high-profile projects. The first is the feasibility and concept for the development of a Space Visitor & Science Center for Spaceport Sweden. The second project was the much anticipated launch of CareerSource Florida, a new statewide brand for Florida's workforce system.
“These two successful projects are a result of our StoryJam design system”
“These two successful projects are a result of our StoryJam design system,” commented Bob Allen, Founder and Chief Storytelling Officer of IDEAS. “Our company is built around creating extraordinary experiences whether that’s an adventure vacation or a new way to build a career.”
Spaceport Sweden was inaugurated in 2007 and has been hard at work establishing commercial human spaceflight and offering innovative space adventures in Sweden, with the vision of becoming Europe’s gateway to space.
“Spaceport Sweden clearly has proven it has the potential to be a world-class, space-oriented attraction, drawing 145,000 annual visitors. The uniqueness of the facility and location, the authenticity of our space attractions, and the ability to be the tourism hub for Kiruna will enable Spaceport Sweden to become a top tourist destination in Swedish Lapland,” says Karin Nilsdotter, CEO Spaceport Sweden.
The early concept that emerged includes a unique “Earth and Sky Center” as a hub for the experience, bringing space exploration to life in the context of planet earth through immersive, interactive and participatory exhibits and programs. The complex is envisioned to bring true adventurers access to space as innovative companies like Virgin Galactic, XCOR and others establish themselves in Kiruna. After 15 months of research and development by IDEAS, Florida's workforce system has launched its new statewide brand, CareerSource Florida. Florida is the first state in the nation to achieve a unified brand and logo for all of its state and regional workforce development boards and career centers.
Governor Rick Scott said, “Florida’s workforce system works hard every day to help Floridians find jobs. In the past month alone, it has placed more than 40,000 Floridians in jobs, and in the last year it has helped 27,000 veterans find employment. We are committed to creating an opportunity economy in Florida that will support jobs for generations to come, and with the help of the CareerSource Florida network, more Floridians will be able to pursue their dreams.”
Prior to the rebranding initiative, there were 25 brand names for the state and local workforce boards as well as numerous other brands associated with the system and its career centers. Research showed the multiple names contributed to a lack of awareness of the system’s employment and training tools among both employers and job seekers.
