Connecthings “tags” the Mobile World Congress
Free drink coupons, interactive surveys, one-tap information are part of NFC tag services powered by Connecthings at the Mobile World Congress.
PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Connecthings, the leader for contactless NFC services, is providing interactive contactless mobile services at the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world’s premier mobile industry event taking place in Barcelona from February 24th to 27th. Following the success of last year’s “NFC Experience”, the show organizers decided to continue the campaign and Connecthings was selected to deliver the tag management services, using its award-winning AdTagTM platform.
“Along with the thousands of access points that we are managing live in many cities of the world, Connecthings continues to support local personal and contextual mobile interactions.”
A connected venue: Visitors to MWC will be able to interact with hundreds of NFC tags scattered throughout the venue, turning the physical environment into connected objects. The tag network will give immediate access to contextual information such as ‘one-tap’ application download, conference agenda of the day, and many other useful and practical information to experience the show.
A smart conference: Furthermore, the GSMA is building interactive surveys accessible from tags in the conference village on the AdTag scheduling engine. After each conference session, attendees will be able to provide anonymous feedback via the interactive points.
Tap-to-bar! An unprecedented mobile coupon experience will take place, showing Connecthings platform capabilities. Visitors will be able to try their luck on NFC tags in the Networking Gardens to win a free drink. Winners will also redeem their free drink using another tag. The coupon scheme relies on the recently announced ‘validation tag’ from Connecthings, which delivers a full coupon experience from passive tags through Connecthings’ cloud-based approach.
“We are very happy that our platform has been selected again, allowing us to demonstrate that we offer unrivalled expertise through a powerful yet simple tool,” says Laetitia Gazel Anthoine, CEO of Connecthings. “Along with the thousands of access points that we are managing live in many cities of the world, Connecthings continues to support local personal and contextual mobile interactions.”
“The NFC coupon experience with 72 000 expected attendees is a great mobile engagement illustration,” continues Alban d’Halluin, VP Business Development at Connecthings. “The experience demonstrates that you can effectively drive customers to a point of sale with the right mobile tools. We are seeing more and more usages of our platform for interactive marketing purposes.”
If you are attending the event, do not miss Laetitia Gazel Anthoine keynote Innovation Unleashed on Thursday 27th at 9:30 in Auditorium 1, Hall 4.
