(NYSE: AVT), today announced that it is the first distributor to offer an express-version of remote implementation services for Hitachi Data Systems solution provider and value-added reseller partners in the U.S. and Canada. Avnet’s Express Implementation Services offer partners the ability to quickly install, provision, tune and back up their customers’ storage environments built on Hitachi Unified Storage. Available through Avnet Services, the remote implementation services will increase partners’ professional services opportunities and help them further profit from the growing demand for data storage.

Avnet’s Express Implementation Services focus on device management, dynamic provisioning, tuning management, file structure and management, and in-system and remote replication.
The new service offerings were created to meet the unique needs of solution provider and VAR partners when deploying Hitachi Unified Storage. They will generate new revenue streams for partners by enabling them to offer cost-effective, remote implementation services from Avnet’s high-skilled services team with deep-storage expertise. Additionally, the services are designed to enhance customer satisfaction and increase engagement opportunities by improving the usability of the new storage environments.
